LASER RAPIER PLUS TESTS Comments In the 90’s I always liked to take a Rapier everywhere with me, it was not going to set the world on fire, but was lightweight and could be stored in a small bag. And most of all it had a nice audio tone It originated from the Tesoro Silver Sabre U Max, which was a smaller revamped version of the original Silver Sabre, bought to the UK and called the Rapier under the Laser name. There have been a few different Rapier models but they are all the same, Tesoro/Laser did what they did with all their Detectors, changed the coils, moved the knobs around, painted it a different colour and reissued it under a different name, or am I being clinical? Every time a New/Tesoro/Laser came out I knew exactly what it would do on my test bad before I switched it on, it would perform the same as the previous 30/40 I had tested. Looking at the test results below makes me cringe, the amount of stuff I must have walked over does not bare think about Pros Good on shallow targets Ideal on Plough/Stubble Cons Not great depth Useless among iron, although at the time they were thought of as the detector to have on iron infested sites |

DEPTH TESTS The depth tests are set up to gauge the power of the detector, all iron is removed from the hole. Various size items are buried at good depths |
